For the first time in twenty months, members of the Chattanooga community will be able to view professional baseball. The Chattanooga Lookouts are set to make a return and play their first game in two calendar years against the Rocket City Trash Pandas on May 4th.
With the Covid-19 pandemic still being a problem for our community, the Lookouts will sell tickets in three different phases. Fan safe guidelines and policies can be found here on this site.The first phase will feature social distancing seating pods and tickets during that phase will be for the eighteen games. The Lookouts will play one-hundred twenty games this season total and sixty at home right here in Chattanooga. Fans will be able to attend at some capacity for all sixty games. A mask policy will be enforced to fans and hand sanitation sites will be available for use in AT&T Field.
“We are thrilled to welcome fans back to AT&T Field in May and our staff is working hard to make the ballpark a safe and fun environment for everyone,” said Lookouts President Rich Mozingo. “We have already received tremendous support from our community, and I encourage fans to secure their seats early.” Mazingo also went on to say, “this is an exciting time for the city of Chattanooga and our fans.”
To view the schedule, visit the Minor League Baseball website. The Lookouts are also giving fans an opportunity to return single game tickets from 2020 and exchange them for 2021 tickets. One more difference that fans will have to become accustomed to is The Lookouts digital ticket initiative. All tickets will be digital this upcoming season.
The upcoming season is a feat in of itself, as the team was facing the pandemic and Major League Baseball’s change in minor league landscape. The moment The Cincinnati Reds decided to renew the contract with The Lookouts was a big moment for the community and the team.
