CHATTANOOGA (mocsnews.com) -. The latest Chanel show, before Matthieu Blazy’s debut, was revealed on the Grand Palais this Tuesday. There were many stars amongst the crowd one being none other than Kylie Jenner.
Any critics who were predicting an uninteresting and dull show were most certainly proven wrong. Chanel delivered a show with a collection featuring diverse, beautiful, artistic designs.
The theme for the show was — Coco, the colorist.
The show highlighted Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s lesser-known side as a colorist. There were bright pastels, rich bold tones, dark midnight blue, and the classic Chanel black. Looks shown were for day and night wear. Although popularly known for her usage of black, this theme seems to have made a collection for the “greatest hits”.
The runway pieces carried a balance between lightness and striking. “Beyond the house’s bread-and-butter tweed skirt suits, leg-of-mutton sleeves brought historical grandeur, evoking a sense of Victorian elegance. Sequins and paillettes shimmered under the bright Grand Palais light. Silk trains in bold red injected a sense of drama. Playful neckties hinted at a 1970s influence”. (AP)
One of the pieces that stood out was a satin pastel yellow gown that featured delicate buttons running down the front, exuded the glamour of old Hollywood while simultaneously leaving the audience with a fresh and modern feel.
One key detail at the Chanel couture was — the buttons.
Buttons came in a varitey of colors, textures, and sizes. There were rock crystal, metal, and rhinestones all adorned on jackets, skirts, and dresses. A subtle touch that added a vibrance to the collection.
The audience was filled with prestigious guest, which was the perfect testament to Chanel’s global reach. Kylie Jenner was not the only one present for the Paris Fashion Week show.
The global ambassadors such as Jennie, K-pop superstar from BLACKPINK, G-Dragon, and Lily-Rose Depp alongside Dua Lipa, Marion Cotillard, and actresses Elsa Zylberstein and Antonia Desplat.

Virginie Viard, succeeded Karl Lagerfeld in 2019 recently parted ways with the company last year. One guest at the show on Tuesday summed up the shift bluntly: “Even the studio show seems better than what Viard did,” capturing the widespread belief that Chanel needed fresh vision.
Blazy, known for his craftsmanship and innovation, previously served as the creative director at Bottega Veneta. He steps into a maison with a solid foundation for his vision and strong financial health.
Despite the mixed views, under Viard’s tenure, Chanel saw record sales. Their revenue reportedly reached $19.7 billion in 2023, this includes a 23% increase in ready-to-wear sales.
On their 110th anniversary-
