The Susan G. Komen Race For a Cure is the world’s largest and most successful fundraising event. The race is used to help raise awareness about breast cancer and to help find a cure. Millions of people across the U.S. gather at these races to cheer on, volunteer, and participate.
Many will gather at the Mackinnize Arena to be a part of the Race for the Cure. People participate because they are survivors, have had family members with breast cancer, want to show support, or help raise money to find a cure.
Susan G. Komen is still looking for volunteers. Chattanooga’s race will take place this Sunday. You can find out how to get involved at komencentaltennessee.org.
